This is for the information of the general public as well as the political parties that a meeting was held under Chairmanship of the Electoral Registration Officer-cum- Additional Deputy Commissioner, U.T., Chandigarh on 07-10-2021 with the all the AEROs of Chandigarh Parliamentary Constituency at Election Department, UT, Sector-18, Chandigarh. As per directions of the Election Commission of India, this department has appointed 10 AEROs in this Constituency.
In this meeting the AEROs were trained regarding the different processes of Special Summary Revision w.r.t. 1-1-2022 as qualifying date, Legal Provision of Electoral Roll and various IT applications such as ERO-NET, Voter Helpline app and Garuda app. As per schedule programme of SSR-2022, the Draft Electoral Roll will be published on 01.11.2021 and the claims and objections from the public will be invited w.e.f. 01.11.2021 to 30.11.2021 in the O/o AEROs, Sampark Centres and Voter Facilitation Centres located at Bal Bhawan, Sector-23, O/o SDM (EAST) Indl. Area and SDM(SOUTH) Sector-42, Chandigarh. Further the AEROs were also directed to dispose off claims and objections received during the SSR 2022 by 20.12.2021. Detail of AEROs (area wise).
